Arrive gently — your journey to the Villnöss Valley

Our three accommodation properties are located in the village center of St. Magdalena in the Villnöss Valley — at the end of the valley, where the road becomes quieter and the mountains draw closer. Here, at around 1,300 meters above sea level, the view opens up to the Geisler peaks, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites.
Only about 30 kilometers from Bolzano and around 50 kilometers from the Brenner Pass, a different pace begins. A landscape that offers space. A village that preserves tranquility.

St. Magdalena is not a place you simply visit — you immerse yourself in it. In clear mountain air, in soft alpine meadows, in trails that begin right at your doorstep. Whether a challenging summit tour or a gentle valley walk, the Puez–Geisler Nature Park visitor center or the small Church of St. Johann in Ranui — everything is close by, much of it even within walking distance.

As part of the Alpine Pearls, the Villnöss Valley stands for gentle tourism in harmony with nature. With the DolomitiMobil Card, you can explore the region comfortably and climate-friendly using public transport — from the valley to the historic towns of South Tyrol.

With us, your holiday doesn’t begin at check-in. It begins on the journey here.

Gentle tourism in the Villnöss Valley — away from the crowds

The Villnöss Valley consciously follows a different path. Here, gentle and sustainable tourism in harmony with nature takes center stage. As part of the Alpine Pearls network, the region focuses on climate-friendly mobility, cultural diversity, and quality instead of speed.

When you arrive, you will receive the DolomitiMobil Card free of charge. It allows you to explore historic towns, quiet side valleys, and numerous starting points for hikes and excursions — comfortably and stress-free by public transport.

By car

From the north, you can reach the Villnöss Valley via the Brenner Pass; from the south, via Bolzano — both routes follow the Brenner Motorway A22 (toll road). Take the Klausen/Chiusa exit and follow the signs toward Villnöss. After approximately 15 kilometres on the main road, you will reach the village of St. Magdalena. Our three properties are centrally located in the village — nestled between meadows, mountains, and the peaceful backdrop of the Geisler peaks.

By public transport

The Villnöss Valley is very well connected to the public transport network. From Klausen/Chiusa or Brixen/Bressanone, buses run hourly to St. Magdalena. Both towns are also connected to the national and international rail network. With the DolomitiMobil Card, you can use many connections free of charge — relaxed, sustainable, and without the hassle of parking.
